Hardly anyone looks good first thing in the morning. But this girl is so bright and breezy, so eager and full of life, she appears to have just stepped out of the shower the moment she opens her eyes. She is ethereal, featherlike; you can imagine her suspended on gossamer wings, a guardian spirit on a visit from paradise. Hardly surprising her name is named Angel, and Angel by name she is angelic by nature, a Hegre thoroughbred: modest, intelligent, wise beyond her years, she is a girl touched with a beauty and personality that makes her glow like angel dust.


Renaissance painters have created in our minds a picture of seraphs with marble white skin and flowing blonde tresses. But they come in all styles, all shades and dispositions. Our own Hegre Angel is from Romania and a true feast for the eyes with skin the colour of virgin olive oil, lips red as tomatoes, and gypsy eyes the hue of black olives. Her hair is jet with the blue tinge of a raven and, as a dark mysterious bird or a floating apparition, she is as light and delicate as an angel's wing.
